About the project

The general awareness of the nature of Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and the adaptations needed in the educational domain have been slowly improving in the past few years. However, discussion on this issue is still lagging in the professional field, often leaving adults with SLD without the necessary support to thrive professionally. This generates unemployment and mental health repercussions in these individuals; especially self-esteem problems that might substantially impact their professional choices, career progression, and income.

With this project, we aim at providing tools and information on SLD to decrease mental health problems and economic burden around this issue, improving work stability and career development for young workers that are transitioning from vocational education to the workforce. The goal is to empower neurodivergent people and provide employers with tools to fight stigma and lack of information. This project focuses on neuro inclusion to help employers harness the talent of people who have a lot to offer but face disabilities and discrimination.
