About the project

Mathematics is most of the time presented to the pupils as an isolated set of rules and procedures, disconnected from their real life. “Math&Move Story” implements innovative methodologies to teach mathematics by linking abstract content to concrete reality through movement and putting it in the context of a story in an e-Book. “Math&Move Story” aims at raising motivation among primary pupils and learners presenting SLD in STEM, more concretely mathematics, through kinaesthetic techniques and storytelling method. This increase in their motivation and engagement will lead to not only more inclusive classrooms but also to better performance in their basic skills and prevention of early school leave.

Project Results

  • A research booklet on the advantages of movement and storytelling for learning math
  • An implementation booklet gathering advice and recommendations to use our OER.
  • 12 interactive e-books gathering diverse content: introductory stories, math lessons involving movement, practices to reinforce their knowledge and illustrating videos.
