Business Idea Competition for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

EntrEUth is organising a competition for those planning to start a business! Its main goal is to support people with Specific Learning Disorders in making their first steps in entrepreneurship.

Purpose

Our Business Idea Competition aims to promote innovation for young people, including those with Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs). It offers a chance to evaluate your idea and helps to turn it into a real business.

Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to aspiring entrepreneurs with a special focus on those with Specific Learning Disorders. An official diagnosis is not required, but we will be happy to hear how being neurodivergent changes your perspective. Is it your source of inspiration? Did you encounter obstacles because of it? Don’t hesitate to write about it in your application.

How to Apply?

It’s easy! If you’re interested in joining the competition, simply write to us at entreuth2026@gmail.com to confirm your interest. In your message, please include your name, surname, country, and email address.

Once we hear from you, we’ll send you more detailed guidance on how to develop and present your business idea – step by step.

You will then have the chance to submit your idea in the format that suits you best: a short pitch, a slideshow (max 10 slides), a video (max. 15 minutes), or any other format you prefer. Your idea can briefly include things like:

 – what your product or service is,

 – who it’s for,

 – what makes it unique, and

 – how it creates value.

If your idea is already well-developed or if you’ve started your business, we’ll also invite you to complete a short form to help us better understand the practical aspects of your project.

What Opportunities Await You?

If you win the national competition, you will receive the opportunity to travel with us, at no cost, to the final event in Milan in March 2026.

There, we will announce the results of the international finals. The winner of the competition will receive a €500 scholarship.

You will also have the opportunity to leverage the networks of our partnership to promote your business, and you will be able to consult with us on your next steps as part of the business acceleration programme.

Competition Phases:

Phase 1: Submit Your Idea by September 30th!

Phase 2: Evaluation – We will carefully review your application and compare it with those of other participants. Then, in October 2025, we will organise an in-person event in Mons, where we will announce the winner.

Phase 3: Final Pitch – Winners of the national competitions will participate in the ceremony in Milan in March 2026, with free travel and stay. During that event, we will announce the results of the international finals.

Phase 4: Turning Your Idea Into Reality – The winner of the international finals in Milan will receive a €500 scholarship and personalised guidance from professionals to further develop their business idea.

Judging Criteria:

When assessing your project, we will use the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality
    • How is your idea different from the others?
    • Does it address the unmet needs of your target group?

  • Economic viability (customers, value, partners)
    • Is your business strategy realistic and well-planned?
    • Does your business have a chance of standing out against the competition?

  • Social impact and innovation
    • Will your business have a positive impact on others?
    • Does it address the current societal issues?

Details on how each criterion will be scored will be shared with participants once the idea selection process begins.

To stay informed about the competition, we invite you to follow us on our social media channels and subscribe to our newsletter.

Let’s stay in touch, and may the best idea win!
