About the project

Languages have been at the forefront of EU policy for more than 2 decades now and yet language levels remain low. BiblioLingua aims to promote, develop and reinforce language skills of secondary school learners through innovative adapted digital solution to read and to access European literature. By creating animated eBooks adapted to various levels, learners in secondary education, but also learners with SLDs, hearing impairments or from disadvantaged backgrounds will be able to participate and therefore acquire stronger language skills.

With this project, we will not only focus on language acquisition and multilingualism, but also reinforce basic literacy skills acquisition. Additionally, while the project focuses on learners and their language skills, there is also an underlying objective of improving language teachers training overall.

Project results:

  • A reading platform to access all the resources of the project, including the eBooks, pedagogical packages and various other modules and guides.
  • 17 e-Books (in English). These eBooks will be accessible in various levels so that the reading options are adequate to the language level of the learner. Five of these eBooks will also be translated and adapted into the five languages of the partnership (French, Italian, Spanish, Estonia, Slovakia).
  • A creation manual which will develop a method for teachers to adapt and create their own eBooks on the platform.
